Are you looking for an opportunity that will enable you to utilise your skill set to the max? 
Sodexo is looking for a Senior Technical Engineer with facilities engineering experience to support on this prestigious contract. Based in Ware with travel to two other major sites in Worthing and Maidenhead you will be required to provide a very high level of knowledge of building services systems with demonstration of personal technical ability when required. This role will suit you if you have held a ‘hands on’ engineering role for a significant period of your career and ideally you will have recognised qualifications in one or more of the Building Services disciplines however it is all about experience for us. The role is not to take active management of day-to-day planned and reactive operations but to support the Site Leads and Engineering Managers/Supervisors with technical guidance if required.

 

Role Responsibility

Main responsibilities will include:

    Ensuring that all Compliance targets (both via SLA measures and audits) are met by use of the various reporting tools, liaison with the operational teams to ensure targets are met within each month and escalation of any possible failures prior to month end. 
    Ensuring that all project works delivered are done so in a safe and compliant manner.
    Ensuring that the Asset Database and Forward Maintenance Register (FMR) are up to date and accurate at all times and available for client scrutiny. 
    Ensuring that requirements of self-delivery labour and specialist subcontractor appointments are understood and that adequate resource is in place
    Ensuring that subcontractor annual planners, work scope, work specifications, work service levels are properly defined and delivered. Assist in subcontract selection, technical approvals and reviews.
Run and participate in audits and verification exercises

The Ideal Candidate

Ideal Candidate:
    Wide ranging knowledge of Building Services Engineering and related legislation and best practice.
    Ability to communicate at all levels and explain complex engineering issues to both technically competent and non-competent persons. Have a professional manner and inspire confidence
    Working knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.) 
    Proficient with Microsoft office applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    Excellent numerical and verbal skills
Must be able to work independently and have a good customer service ethic.
