Senior Regional Buyer

Job Introduction

We are currently looking for a Senior Regional Buyer who will be responsible for developing, managing and communicating the Regional Procurement Strategy. 

To be successful in this role, you will lead and motivate the regional buying team, and align objectives of Regional Procurement with Global Supply Management, Category Management & FM Platform strategy. You will be responsible for the delivery of this strategy within region including stakeholder management across SO and segments. ​

You will manage Regional Procurement Budget and Forecasts reporting to Head of FM Procurement, and provide innovative Hard FM solutions and opportunities to the operational business.

Role Responsibility

Tracking and reporting on regional procurement tender and project activity

Ensure savings for Regional Procurement team are validated by Commercial Accounts through global methodology

Ensure strategic relationships maintained with national suppliers sitting in Regional Procurement remit

Promote engagement with Category team to ensure regional data is provided to support national category strategies

      Ensure that Regional Procurement team are improving profitability by optimizing agreements of all categories under the regional remit 

     Ensure that the regional Procurement strategy is understood at an Exec level in all segments and that SM  Regional Objectives are aligned to Segment objectives

Working with SO Finance to ensure robust reporting and measurement of the Global Supply Management performance

Align to Global Hard FM strategy and Hard FM Platform strategy and cascade to ensure this is included in individual regional strategy

Manage Regional Procurement team to support SM and personal Objectives are achieved

Provide innovative supplier opportunities to Hard FM Platform, Technical Board and Global FM team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in leading teams in a buying / category management environment (5/7 years+)
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural and matrix environment
  • Experience in developing and implementing national procurement and category strategies
  • Strong excel based skills (Advance Excel)
  • Strong communication skills to manage senior stakeholder relationships
  • Strong presentation skills both verbally and written  
  • Graduate calibre with CIPS/ISM or equivalent qualification
  • Team player with excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Financial acumen and result orientated
  • Fluency in English; French / Spanish a plus.

 

FM Hard FM - additional

  • Experience of Pharma, Heath or Public Sector FM Operations
  • Experience in specific Hard FM sub categories e.g. Lifts, Fire and Security, Water treatment, electrical wholesalers
  • Experience of managing sub-contractors across Hard FM
  • Knowledge of Construction and Civils ‘project’ works procurement methodologies
