Security Officer
Job Introduction

Role Responsibility
As a Security Officer you could be responsible for:
- Ad-hoc support for our security operations
- Ensuring buildings, valuables or people are safe and secure
- Patrolling, securing and monitoring premises, sometimes with the aid of closed circuit television (CCTV)
- Supervising the door for a large organisation
- Guarding cash or other valuables in transit in a security vehicle
- Driving vehicles as and when required
- Health and Safety and Evacuation procedures
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- A full current driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent awareness skills
- Experience in working in a similar role
- A SIA Licence holder – Manned Guarding Licence, SIA Licence holder – CCTV desirable
- Knowledge of security techniques
- Knowledge of site and local emergency procedures

- Strong customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Previous security experience in similar working environment.
- Full-clean Irish driving licence
Desirable
- Knowledge & use of computer (Word, Excel & e-mail)
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Main Duties:
- Attend training courses/sessions relating to your scope of duties.
- Undertake day to day security duties as set out by the Soft Services Lead.
- Undertake all necessary work-related training courses/sessions.
- Be an active participant in reviewing existing & implementing new techniques to enhance the service provided to the Client.
- Carry out duties in accordance with Sodexo company procedures & Johnson & Johnson requirements.
- To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably requested by your line manager in line with your competence & experience.
- Attend necessary internal meetings/briefs where required.
- Promote a health & safety culture within the team & raise awareness amongst all colleagues of Health & Safety regulations/requirements
