Residential Property Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting an experienced Property Manager to join our Student Living by Sodexo business as a Residential Property Manager. You will oversee the service delivery at student accommodation in Huddersfield managing maintenance and compliance, ensuring outstanding service delivery at all times.

You will lead the onsite teams (compliance, facilities and grounds including M&E, subcontractors, front of house and cleaning) to improve the service delivery providing a service for tenants, clients, stakeholders and fellow Sodexo colleagues which meets and continues to exceed expectations.

This opportunity would suit commercial individuals from the property and FM services business, who have a keen interest in student living and welfare and enhancing the student experience.

This roles is primarily Monday to Friday, however may require weekend / evening work as per business needs.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Take ownership of the property, developing a team approach to service delivery and fostering an attitude of service excellence
  • Deliver an effective reactive maintenance service to the property in a courteous, timely and safe manner
  • Coordinate to ensure best use of resource and DSP, ensuring compliance records are up to date
  • Ensure the DSP and Monthly Reports are used to drive maintenance response times, improving  customer satisfaction
  • Oversee Front of House accommodation services, ensuring the service is delivered in line with DIGS operating procedures and within Sodexo KPI’s 
  • Manage the on-site Security and out of hours service, ensuring a safe and secure environment
  • Meet financial targets, maintaining the service within budget through prudent purchasing and use of subcontracted services
  • Deliver a safe and complaint building through regular inspection and the production of records and reports
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all relevant University/Institution departments and client

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of hard / soft facilities maintenance (including M&E)
  • Excellent customer focus and passionate about the customer journey and welfare
  • Strong communication skills and organisation skills
  • Qualification in IOSH, or equivalent
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a team
  • Proven experience in managing subcontractors and cleaning services
  • Proven experience in client liaison
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office
