Regional Cleaning Supervisor

Role Responsibility

• Successfully improve and maintain performance in housekeeping services

• Become a service line of excellence to internal and external clients

• Ensure exploitation of all income opportunitites within existing client portfolio and prospec-tive organic growth 

• Drive excellence in operational delivery to maximise operational excellence

• Develop a competent team to deliver consistent service delivery ensuring effective leader-ship of all activity

• Ensure achievement against all contractual service level agreements (LOPS) and key per-formance indicators 

• Development of policy, strategy and procedures for housekeeping delivery

• Ensuring that all aspects of the business are conducted in accordance with all relevant stat-utory requirements and Codes of Practice.

• Engage with customers and clients on a routine basis and lead by example in providing ex-cellence in contract/relationship management

• Establish industry and in company networks to ensure continuous improvement and to pro-vide insight through the effective use of market data and operational delivery techniques

• Manage relationships and key interfaces with the client and the clients' key decision mak-ers

• Adherence to general standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act re-quirements

• Have responsibility for all housekeeping related Health and Safety matters ensuring com-pliance with Sodexo and client procedures

• Ensure compliance against contractual Service Level Agreements

• To effectively manage team members working on local sites and across the portfolio

• Preparation and continuous control of departmental budgets and preparation of reporting requirements

• Writing processes, procedures, guidelines & audit process departmental activities

• Management of all Housekeeping recruitment, selection and training

• Continually reviewing existing processes to stimulate continuous improvement and innova-tion

• Manage the integration and ongoing management of the integrated workplace manage-ment systems.

• Leading the operations to ensure all building occupants, visitors and guests receive the highest level of 5-star services in a pleasant clean and safe environment.

• Managing the team and operation to proactively control and develop the coordination, plan-ning and organisation of the Housekeeping services.

• Ensure all monthly reports are correctly completed for line manager by working day two

• Completion of accident reports in managers absence.

• Ability to deal with issues and queries in a professional and efficient manner in the manag-ers absence.

• Participate in any training or career development, team meetings and keep up to date with company legislation policy and procedures.

• Report immediately on BAE ESHESS and Sodexo Salus any accidents, near misses and incidents of fire, theft, loss damage or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate.

• Ambassador for corporate standards.

• Flexibility essential.

• Manage deliveries in accordance with specific site rules.

• Manage the movements diary and produce a weekly schedule/rota.

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-profile housekeeping environment

• Proven experience in managing a role in housekeeping

• Proven background in multi skilled housekeeping disciplines

• Keyboard skills, computer literate and ability to use Word and Excel

• Exceptional client relationship management skills

• Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills.

• Experience working with customers and clients 

• High level of customer service

• Good health and safety knowledge and experience

 

Desirable

• Business Insurance and full Driving licence

• Ability to set up and write new processes and procedures

• IOSH desirable

• Proven track record of initiating and leading demanding business change programmes 

• Proven experience of developing profitable relationships with clients & customers

• Proven track record of leading and managing experienced operators

Package Description

40 hours per week, in a flexible shift pattern to cover early and late shifts

Uniform provided

28 days holiday to include 8 bank holidays

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a highly capable cleaning team across the estate
  • Implementing & maintaining innovative business improvements
  • Completion of waste data documentation and trained to Silver
  • standard (training to be given) waste ambassador
  • Monthly spill kit inspections
  • Completion of quarterly electrical safety checks/waste compound
  • audits
  • Contractor management
  • Filing onto the digital systems and keeping up to date
  • Delivery of hospitality to all sites – driving licence required
