Quantity Surveyor
Job Introduction
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Integrator team within the Government and Agencies segment at Sodexo.
You will be an experienced and qualified Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveyor and have worked in a role where you have provided cost management across a broad range of projects.
As the role is supporting our client in Northern Ireland you will be required to be in Belfast for 2 days a week.
Role Responsibility
- Develop and implement a framework for project cost plans, cash flow reporting, cost forecasting, change control and cost reporting across all projects
- Assist through the review and design development process and provide ongoing advice on project design cost efficiency
- Undertake whole of life cycle costing analysis where required to enable and inform investment decisions.
- Provide advice on building contract forms/types and procurement strategies.
- Review and analyse contractor proposals, tenders, etc. and report on financial compliance and undertake arithmetical check of tender returns.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in a similar role providing cost management, cost control and cost forecasting across a broad range of project types
- Experience of contract administration and different building contract forms including NEC and JCT
- Experience of developing cost estimates from project initiation through to pre-tender estimate
- Experience of value engineering and whole life cycle costing analysis
- Construction related degree
- Relevant professional qualification in discipline covering quantity surveying is desirable
