Project Manager

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a substantial integrated facilities management experience to join our team at the University of Greenwich.

You’ll assist in the delivery of the Project Management Service, encompassing all aspects of project delivery. You will effectively manage the Sodexo team and outsourced labour to ensure that exemplary services are delivered whilst managing the lifecycle plan and the co-ordination of asset and condition surveys, reports and cost plans.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Oversee and monitor the delivery of the project work, utilising both in-house and out-sourced labour to deliver services that comply with best practice, mandatory and statutory requirements, contractual obligations and corporate governance
  • Manage the lifecycle plan, including the co-ordination of asset and condition surveys and the preparation of associated survey reports, programmes and cost plans
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the Project Management Service in line with agreed budget, including the recovery of rechargeable services/works and ensuring potential deduction risks are managed
  • Management of costs impacting on the financial performance of the Service, maximise revenues and identify opportunities for growth, including the recovery of rechargeable services/works, and to ensure potential deduction risks are managed
  • Collaborate and liaise with the Service Delivery and Helpdesk Manager to deliver reactive and Lifecycle requirements
  • Ensure adherence to and enforcement of the site health and safety, quality and risk management policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, mandatory and contractual obligations in the delivery of all services, providing documentation to support for audit requirements

The Ideal Candidate

What’s essential:

  • Building/Quantity Surveyor with relevant building/engineering qualification
  • Previous experience in the delivery and management of project works and sub-contractors
  • Proven time management organisational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Articulate and confident communicator with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Commercially astute with a proactive and pragmatic approach to issue resolution
  • Experience of working within NEC contractual framework
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working within the changing needs of the business.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
