Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join us in the delivery of the Project Management Service at The County Hospital, Hereford. You’ll Encompass all aspects of project delivery, utilising both in house and outsourced labor, to deliver services that comply with best practice, mandatory and statutory requirements, contractual obligations and corporate governance. 

Ideally, you’ll have experience of full lifecycle delivery, including the co-ordination of asset and condition surveys and the preparation of associated survey reports, programmes and cost plans.

Role Responsibility

  • Delivery of Project Management Service in accordance with the Project Agreement and associated documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory, mandatory and contractual obligations.
  • Management of the lifecycle plan, including the co-ordination of asset and condition surveys and the preparation of associated survey reports, programmes and cost plans.
  • Management and monitoring of project works ensuring adherence and enforcement of the site health and safety, quality and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Financial performance of the Project Management Service in line with agreed budget, including the recovery of rechargeable services/works, and ensuring potential deduction risks are managed.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Building/Quantity Surveyor with relevant building/engineering qualification.
  • Experience in the delivery and management of project works.
  • Experience within the healthcare sector, including working knowledge of applicable HTM and HBN.
  • Articulate and confident communicator (both verbal and written), with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Experience in managing and monitoring contractor performance.
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach to issue resolution.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working within the changing needs of the business.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Experience of working within complex/PFI contractual framework
