Project Manager - Operational Systems

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Project Manager who would relish the opportunity to work within Global Technical Services and IFM Systems Deployment function who advise, support and consult with our global, regional and segment project teams on the deployment of Operational Systems including IFM, EQMS etc.

You’ll work with the teams from initial opportunity development to full production handover. Controlling the overall global plans for key programmes, managing global reporting and supporting the Global Deployment Director in setting up global deployment groups that utilise the expertise within each region, you’ll play a significant role in enabling the business to move forward in a consistent and operationally effective manner.

This role will really put your stakeholder management and relationship building skills to the test, you’ll need to be a proactive and solutions orientated thinker able to juggle multiple and varied projects across different industry sectors and global regions.

Due to the global reach this role will have it is anticipated a small amount of national and global travel will be required.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage global programs/projects to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. Ensuring that comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans for projects of a complex/high risk nature are prepared and maintained. This ranges from initial opportunity through to implementation, training and handover to support.
  • Set-up the global support groups which can support IFM Deployment Platform –Operational Systems IFM, EQMS, etc. going forward.
  • Ensuring the standards, processes and tools set by the Global Technical Services & IFM Systems Deployment- Head of Implementation & Change are followed and adhered to.
  • To Support and Manage the Junior PM role. This will not be handed over until you are established in the role 3-6 moths in to be agreed with the Global Deployment Director.
  • Allocate project resources and motivate and manage the programmes team members
  • Build open and effective relationships with all key project/ programme stakeholders
  • Issue progress reports and ensuring deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Responsible for managing and resolving risks & issues associated to all programs and projects within your remit.
  • Responsible for managing the communications with stakeholders across all global /regional SO deployment Teams.
  • Provide regular milestone reporting of project /programme progress across the governance framework
  • Implement and drive best practice

The Ideal Candidate

What’s essential:

  • Proven track record with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience of Project Management with good knowledge of project management disciplines i.e PMI, PRINCE2;
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders;
  • Ability to work closely with global / regional teams and build a trusted relationship
  • Credibility within the project environment and ability to influence others;
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes, including risk management, budget and resource allocation procedures;
  • Ability to find innovative ways of solving &/or pre-empting problems;
  • Understanding of the wider implications of the programme
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office including MS Project

Package Description

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum.
