Production - Materials Team Co-ordinator

Job Introduction

The purpose of the role is to support in achieving the Production plan by ensuring components are ready on time, in full and in line with customer and quality requirements. The Materials Co-ordinator will be overseeing and organizing his team to make sure runs are collated ahead of the planned run time, and alerting the HC Supervisor if this cannot be achieved. Ensuring waste streams and stocks are managed is also a major part of the role as well as covering the HC Supervisor when required.

Role Responsibility

  • Working with the HC Supervisor to ensure the plan is achieved by communicating with LR and the HC Kitchen team
  • Ensure components are received on time, in full, first time
  • To ensure continued compliance with all aspects of H&S, food safety and quality.
  • Ensure that the Materials team is supplying a great consistent service to the customer, HC Lines
  • To ensure the team is trained in all aspects of the Materials team area
  • To cover the position of Supervisor when required
  • To ensure that all employees are adequately trained and informed of the safety procedures/regulations
  • To be aware of the company’s quality management system and in particular, to follow any quality assurance work instructions that are applicable to this role
  • To ensure waste streams are kept to a minimum and monitored accurately
  • To ensure stock rotation and management of the Chiller and to supply the lines with the correct component
  • To ensure the appropriate delegation of tasks within the department.
  • To carry out any reasonable request in order to meet the needs of the business.
