This is a key position in delivering operational excellence across our technical services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of client systems and equipment, maintaining compliance with Sodexo Global Engineering Standards, and supporting the wider team in achieving service excellence.
As a Multi skilled Engineer you'll:
Deputise for the Technical Services Supervisor and/or Leading Mechanical Engineer when required.
Participate in escalation response procedures for emergencies requiring technical support, including out-of-hours situations.
Uphold the highest professional and safety standards at all times, ensuring all works comply with Safe Systems of Work (RAMS, LOTO, etc.).
Maintain current certification and appointment as Authorised/Competent Person (AP/CP) in required disciplines.
Ensure work orders are completed to contractual and professional performance standards.
Ensure client equipment and systems operate effectively, escalating any issues that may affect operations.
Assist with work order prioritisation and communication with DigiHub/Helpdesk and end users.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs within technical capability.
Quality assure all technical activities against Sodexo standards and industry best practice.
Undertake like-for-like asset replacements and minor new works.
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and Sodexo colleagues.
Support the training and development of team members.
Demonstrate cost awareness and consideration for sustainability in technical service delivery.
What we're looking for:
City and Guilds Level 2, 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification
Minimum 5 years’ relevant technical experience.
Strong practical knowledge of engineering standards and maintenance best practice.
Experience working independently within a technical maintenance environment.
Sound understanding of health and safety procedures.
IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
Proven ability to plan and manage workload effectively.
