Maintenance Technician

Job Introduction

Due to progression we have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our site-based team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading Integrated facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • To carry out all general mechanical & building fabric, routine maintenance requirements on site
  • To ensure planned preventative maintenance is undertaken as scheduled in CMMS and completed as per work schedule/requests.
  • First response to breakdowns & first fix within skillset (Basic diagnostics to ensure correct specialist Trade/mobilised)
  • Liaise with Planner/Helpdesk to organise and coordinate reactive & planned maintenance tasks 
  • To be aware of and comply with the company’s quality and Health & Safety management systems and in particular, follow any Safe Systems of Work and Quality Assurance work instructions that is applicable to this job
  • Supervision of company and client appointed sub-contractors
  • Understanding Risk Assessment Method Statements and point of work assessments to ensure all work is carried out safely
  • Assist with minor works, projects and planned shutdowns
  • To carry out other duties dictated by the requirements of the business
  • To attend to any reasonable management request
  • Engage in continuous improvement and energy & sustainability initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

• Experience within a similar role.

• Ability to proactively work as part of a team.

• Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the completion of tasks.

• Ability to prioritise work tasks based on customer needs

• Adaptable and flexible in approach to work when required

• Ability to remain calm under pressure

• Ability to perform tasks that require physical fitness.

• Resides geographically for contract support

• Results/tasks orientated

 • IT literate

Desirable

• Experience within the following systems

• Plumbing skills

• Currently or previously an Authorised Person in one of the following disciplines:

• Working at Height

• Confined Spaces

• Pressure Systems

• LV Electrical
