Lab Materials Management Lead
Job Introduction

About the role
- You will have full working knowledge of the Lab Services which are covered by the services run by Sodexo
- You'll be responsible for work allocation to the Lab Support team, keeping within the specified detail of the contract, the financial budget and working principles.
- Control Lab Support material stores to an acceptable level, ensuring rotation and safety in storage.
- Liaising with suppliers on delivery requirements / schedules and access to buildings. Organise and represent client at supplier meetings.
- Order stores as required following Company procedures through nominated suppliers approved by Sodexo. Liaise with client on upcoming campaigns, that require above average stocks of VMI material / one-off orders.
- Control the issue and usage of Lab Support materials to client staff and monthly meeting with Client Purchasing and Lab reps to ensure strict cost control and negotiating discounts with Supplier.
- Ensure strict supervision of all assets used in conjunction with the Lab Support contract
- Managing all onsite documentation for chemical products in line with GXP requirements for External Quality audits
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all chemicals in use and training in COSHH Regulations.
- Comply with all Sodexo Company policies/procedures and client site rules and regulations.
- Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place.
- Participate in any necessary training and team meetings as required to complete job responsibilities to the Company and clients standards.
- SAP ordering on behalf of client, Preparation of Shopping carts for client purchasing dept. Cross checking of Invoices for Over-charging, duplicate orders and adherence to Client’s VAT exemption.
- Receiving of goods
- Material delivery & tracking issues
- Liaise with Lab staff – with out of stock items and Replace stocks of consumables and reagents when required and inform a senior member of staff if stocks are low
- Maintenance and development of Work procedures in line with SOG
- Support development of Lab Support Services on site
- Oversee record keeping, SAP generated Returns System and packing/shipping /labelling, of assets going off site for PM/Calibration work.
Role Responsibility

- Proven experience in working in a Lab Support team
- Industry acumen and knowledge of Lab Support services
- Good understanding of budget management
- Experience in supervising a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a standards /compliance environment
- Comply with Company and statutory regulations relating to Safe Systems of work, health & safety, hygiene & cleanliness
- To deliver a consistent level of service, within the Company's standards, to the contract specification and agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets

Permanent Fulltime - 39 hrs a week - Kinsale , Cork
€35,000 per annum + Sodexo benefits
