This is an exciting time to be joining Prestige Nursing + Care, part of the Sodexo Group. A rare opportunity has arisen to join our established ICT team as a Junior web developer (PHP coding). This role will ideally be based from our Head office in Epsom and you will be required to attend meetings in Epsom 1-2 times a week.

We are looking for a dynamic and independent professional with solid web development experience and a flexible, enthusiastic and can-do attitude to join our team. 

The role of Junior Web Developer is to support the Senior Web Developer in developing the company’s website and in house systems to meet the constantly evolving requirements of our business and web presence.

The main systems the role will be responsible for, are an in house developed recruitment and compliance system, along with the Employee Portal that accompanies it, the roll out and on-going support of a Sharepoint Company Intranet, a company website within a Wordpress environment, as well as any standalone internal systems.

Role Responsibility

The main duties of the role will include

  • To develop new user-friendly websites and web applications to be used within the organisation.
  • To maintain existing websites and web applications
  • Day to day first line support of the internal web applications within the branch network.
  • Troubleshoot any functionality or performance issues.
  • Test websites and applications thoroughly in different browsers and environments to ensure they perform as expected.
  • Be efficient, organised, and able to work accurately to tight deadlines.

The Ideal Candidate

Key skills and attributes that we are looking for area-

  • A degree in Computing / Computer Science (or similar)
  • Have a good working knowledge of Web Technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Have a good working knowledge of MSSQL/MYSQL.
  • Be capable of maintaining existing HTML, PHP, and MSSQL/MYSQL Code.
  • Be familiar with SQL Server Management Studio, and MYSQL Workbench.
  • Have a basic understanding of CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap.
  • Have a basic understanding of Office365 Sharepoint.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Have the ability to handle a number of projects, and to prioritise work.

*** This role will be based from our Head office in Epsom, You will be required to attend meetings 1-2 times a week. Therefore applicants within a 20 mile radius of our Head office will only be considered ***
