Hospitality Service Person

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Hospitality Service Person to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Comply with all Company and client policies, procedures and statutory regulations, including human resources, site rules, health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH.  This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace
  • Assist with all aspects of the preparation of food service areas and presentation of food to the notified standard.
  • To prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers’ special dietary requirements: for example, nut, dairy or wheat allergies.
  • Service & keep clean all meeting rooms with attention to cleanliness.
  • Assist with the replenishment of beverages and food to ensure service periods do not stop.
  • Assist with hygienic cleaning of work areas after and during service periods.
  • Assist with the implementation of cleaning schedules & temperature control to agreed standards.
  • Promote a friendly working relationship with colleagues.
  • Promote a good company image to customers and guests by using positive customer service practices.
  • To undertake occasional duties outside the normal routine but within the scope of the position and the department’s activities. To assist, as required, at special functions, some of which may occur outside normal working hours, for which you will be paid overtime.
  • To report any complaint or compliment and take action if at all possible.
  • To report any incident of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage and take action as may be appropriate or possible.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Good communications skills
  • Experience of working in a similar industry such as food service, catering or hospitality.
  • Previous food handling experience
  • Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices
  • Strong customer service skills

Desirable

  • Basic Certificate in general hygiene
  • Experience of working in an environment where compliance to standards is key.

Package Description

Duties

1. To carry out any reasonable request made by the management, outside normal duties, but within the scope of the job.

2. Organize coffee and tea trays for individual or groups of clients and customers, as and when requested. Providing an  efficient, caring and friendly service.

3. Prepare sandwich lunch trays and deliver to rooms as and when requested.

4. To maintain the cleanliness in the pantry area and food storerooms and all its utensils, including those used in the meeting room areas.

5. To ensure that goods are ordered and are checked and stored in the correct places according to the correct procedures.  To ensure stock rotation takes place. To assist with stock taking

6. To ensure that the Company’s and legal regulations covering hygiene, safety and general cleanliness are compiled with and all tasks are undertaken. Relevant documentation is filled in and available to the Hospitality Manager.

7. To relieve or assist from time to time with other duties as required.

8. To dress correctly at all times as laid out in the uniform code.

 

9. To establish and maintain a satisfactory relationship with all staff and customers.

 

10. Ensure all meetings & coffee’s are counted weekly

 

11. Compile the weekly sandwich order

 

12. Check on stock levels & cancel standing orders 

 

13. Copy weekly invoices

 

 

 

Occasional duties:

1. To report and where possible take action concerning customer complaints, requests or compliments.

2. To report and where possible take action in cases if incidents, accidents, fire, theft loss or any other damage occurred.  To report any claims of unfit food or other irregularities.

3. To attend meetings and training sessions as may be necessary from time to time.

4. To relieve and assist in other areas within the unit.

5. To assist at special functions in the unit, some of which may occur outside normal working hours, as and when required.
