This is an exciting time to be joining Prestige Nursing + Care, part of the Sodexo Group. A rare opportunity has arisen to join our Senior Leadership Team as a Head of Operations on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The role of Head of Operations, is to drive improvements in quality and client outcomes. To safeguard the company against risk through audit and quality markers, analysis of incidents, and working with operations team to deliver improvements and maintain high standards of care.

 

We are looking for a dynamic and independent professional with solid experience in Health Care Management, an eye for quality and flexible, enthusiastic and can-do attitude.

Role Responsibility

The main duties of the role will include

  • Be the nominated individual with CQC for all Prestige Nursing + Care registered sites
  • Work closely with the Business Director in capacity and succession planning in line with the Operating Model and Budget
  • Deputise for the Business Director as and when required
  • To ensure that the framework of service delivery for all branches continually meets safety, quality, legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that any changes to the regulatory requirements of CQC, SSSC and Care Inspectorate are quickly and accurately reflected in changes to Prestige/Elite policies, systems, processes and training
  • To develop a strategy for early identification of risks, in care delivery and/or business and working closely with operations/central office to develop an action plan to resolve risks
  • Providing recommendations and implementing change or improvements to consistently deliver a high quality of service across the business
  • To develop a strategy for rapid and effective complaint resolution and analysis, where appropriate ensuring that changes in process are made to prevent future re-occurrence
  • To be the principle point of contact for external relationships with CQC, SSSC, Care Inspectorate
  • To work collaboratively and flexibly with Operations Teams in developing and implementing training to support business change initiatives
  • Oversee training to ensure it is in line with business needs, regulatory and legislative requirements whilst recommending and leading on new opportunities
  • Work closely with the Head of Clinical Services to be aligned on clinical and operational strategies and direction
  • Ensure that a robust formal induction process for all staff is in place and continuously improved which is streamlined with any HR induction requirements
  • Member of the Senior Leadership Team contributing to the wider strategic and operational plans of the business
  • Responsible for making sure training is delivered effectively and within budget
  • Ensuring there is an effective quality assurance framework in place across the business, seeking regular feedback from clients and staff and working closely with care services and operations to inform service development.
  • Leading the operations team to ensure quality audits are regularly conducted at branches and that the recommendations for improvements are implemented at a company level and/or branch level
  • Robust monitoring of compliance against agreed pathways and KPIs for operations managers
  • Monitor and report on compliance of the Operational teams to the Quality and Governance Frameworks, ensuring data integrity across operations
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager

 

The Ideal Candidate

Key skills and attributes that we are looking for are-

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or qualified by experience
  • Healthcare operational experience and good understanding of all aspects of Care including governance, reporting, safeguarding, policy, CQC, incident management
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Good interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Well organised, responsive and able to work under pressure
  • 10 years care experience at a senior level
  • A commitment to equal opportunities and diversity
  • Symmetry between personal and organisational values
  • Demonstrates the behaviours associated with Prestige Nursing + Care’s values
  •  

 

Desirable

  • Experience of organisation development and design, and facilitation of change including consultation and engagement
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes
