Job Introduction
Join Sodexo as a Head Chef, and take a leadership role in overseeing the delivery and development of the food offer in all areas of the business. As a vital member of the Operations team, you will be instrumental in driving commercial initiatives, fostering innovation, and developing your kitchen team to their full potential.
What you'll do:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all meal services at the required time, meeting the standards laid down in the Service Level Agreement and satisfying the Client's, Customer's, and Sodexo’s expectations.
- Devise and implement a strategy of food offer innovation & growth in line with new trends to drive additional revenue.
- Assist with customer surveys and profiling to ensure the food offer remains applicable, offering ideas for menu enhancement, development, and change where necessary.
- Ensure all food is prepared with due care and attention, considering customers’ special dietary requirements.
- Organize special functions as required, some of which may occur outside normal working hours.
- Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organization.
- Ensure the Company's accountancy, documentation, and administration procedures are carried out to the laid-down standard.
- Control and monitor financial performance, achieving targets in terms of margins and wastage control.
- Maintain the standards and integrity of the food offer and Service Level Agreement, performing daily food audits.
- Implement and maintain Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health, and safety.
- Ensure maximum security of the kitchens, stock, and equipment.
- Assist in staff recruitment, providing thorough induction, monitoring performance, and conducting reviews.
- Have special regard for the welfare of the establishment staff, organising regular and effective staff meetings.
- Manage and control the food ordering process, adhering to company policy.
What you bring:
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Experience developing an innovative food offer to meet client and customer needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with customers, clients, and staff at all levels.
- Ability to achieve and set standards, operating to performance criteria, with regard to hygiene.
- CIEH Level 3 Food Safety qualification/706 Level 1 and 2 min.
