Sodexo is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to be based ideally in the Midlands/South area – covering multiple contracts across the region - to lead and deliver the people agenda across the accounts you are responsible for. As an experienced HR professional you will support our operational leaders on growth and retention through applications of processes. Role Responsibility

Just some of the main assignments will be to:

•    Develop and deliver a people plan that delivers business results: Identify and create a plan. To include talent development, reward, organisation design and business change, performance management, ER, and employee engagement. Champion and co-ordinate HR initiatives across the contract 
•    Lead and manage organisational change:  Use agreed change management techniques including approaches to organisational diagnosis, business design, project management, and application of HR change policies, best-practice internal consulting techniques to successfully deliver effective organisational and cultural change. 
•    Employee relations:  Manage works council, employee representative, union relationships, where required. 
•    Employee engagement: Work with management to identify opportunities to increasingly better engage employees, facilitating the diagnosis of opportunities and the development and delivery of practical action plans to achieve higher engagement levels.
•    Contribute to business strategy & planning: Act as a key and active member of the account team, contributing to and influencing the development of the strategic agenda, providing challenge and consulting support.  Engage, influence and challenge business leaders in the development and implementation of business strategy and ensure business perspective informs the shaping of HR strategy and policy development
•    Drive the commercial effectiveness of the business:  Support and deliver on new business and renewals and contract optimisation activity.  Act as an escalation point for HR issues with the business which you will partner 
•    Workforce planning, talent & succession:  Create and lead the implementation of workforce planning, talent management and succession planning processes, clarifying short and longer term capability requirements, succession needs and talent pipeline.  Ensure identified talent is well developed and deployed, that succession risks are anticipated and tackled, and that workforce plans are fulfilled effectively.
•    Capability development: Support the account team in identifying strategically-important capability gaps and through engagement of L&D and resourcing colleagues, develop solutions to successfully solve current and future capability gaps using internal/ external levers.
•    Performance and reward:  Play a lead role in championing the intelligent and consistent application of country related reward processes and initiatives. Embed effective use of agreed performance processes to drive business performance – including the achievement of real differentiation in performance ratings and rewards.  Ensure firm but fair practices are applied to underperformers.
•    HR policy and process development: Provide resilient and consistent application of Country/ Regional/Global HR policies and process, in particular championing effective and appropriate engagement from line managers with the HR model, ensuring capable, accountable line leadership.  Seek continual development of line capability in people management and of HR effectiveness.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential
     Educated to degree level or equivalent HR practitioner qualification or qualified by experience
     Extensive HR generalist experience and detailed understanding of all aspects of HR Management including reward,  resourcing, talent management/succession planning, change management and employee relations
     Proven experience in working in a matrix organisation and building diverse teams
     Developed client relationship management skills 
     Strong analytical skills and proven understanding of human capital measurement and delivery of performance improvement interventions
     Professional and commercial acumen, with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills 
     Experience of organisation development and design, and facilitation of change including consultation and engagement
     Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
     Excellent communication, influencing, coaching and facilitation skills
     Well organised, responsive and able to work under pressure

Desirable
     Exposure to works councils/social programmes/unionised environments is beneficial
     Appreciation of other HR Systems
