Food and Beverage Manager

Job Introduction

Are you passionate and experienced in delivering 5* service in a food and beverage environment? Do you have proven people management skills and a keen eye for detail?

We currently have an opportunity for a Food and Beverage Manager to join the team. As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will manage and lead the food and beverage team within the race course, ensuring that client and customer service are of the highest quality and also assist with the running of all weddings and events at site. On busy event days, you will manage a casual team of up to 200 people. This role is ideal for someone with experience in event and people management.

Role Responsibility

  • Oversee the service of all food & beverages within the race course
  • Be passionate about food, beverage and customer service, seeking to ensure that the highest standards are met at all times
  • Be in attendance at core service times ensuring that all customers receive the best possible service as well as providing an initial point of contact should there be any questions or complaints
  • Actioning customer compliments by praising staff and resolve complaints satisfactorily, referring to your line manager where necessary
  • Liaise with chef on duty to ensure seamless food service and ensure good communication with head chef to provide feedback on food service
  • Organizing and delivering events and functions to the required standards
  • Liaise with the sales teams regarding organization of functions and events
  • Report and liaise regularly with management team regarding departmental performance and ensure they are informed of any relevant information or issues
  • Knowledge of health & safety and food safety in a catering environment
  • Take responsibility for stock control, including ordering, acceptance, maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, and report &return of any sub-standard items

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous track record of catering/ hotel employment in a similar role
  • Proven leadership skills to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure managing multiple workloads
  • Flexible approach to role - must be available to work different shifts including evenings and weekends

    Desirable

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely Qualification or Equivalent 
  • First Aid Certificate

Package Description

Up to £26,000 depending on experience + benefits
