Facilities Project Manager

Job Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with preferably a background in Facilities Management Soft Services to join our team in Cambridge to project manage operational delivery of Client’s new HQ and any further projects.

Role Responsibility

  • To provide strategic programme leadership to deliver the FM solution for Client’s new-build programme within required project timelines.
  • Create a new services solution for Client’s Cambridge HQ, Travel Hub, Amenities Building, South Office Building and future developments of further buildings to meet Client’s aspirations
  • Support the design and operate a flexible space and FM services that contribute to improving “Great Place to work” employee engagement, productivity and retention.
  • Bring the “best of Sodexo” to support each phase of the solution development
  • To work in a seamless way, embedded within the Client’s Project team.
  • Manage all project activities to ensure deliverables align with project plan
  • All project risks are highlighted and escalated to the Client
  • Ensure all risks are joined with a plan of action i.e. - date for reviewing go/no go for activity deliverables
  • SPOC between Client and Sodexo FMOR Resource
  • Providing the Client with all resource and financial updates for FMOR activities
  • Management and escalation of risks
  • Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise as appropriate
  • Report back to the Client within agreed timeframes
  • Present all project activities to the Client at agreed scheduled meetings as well as ad hoc updates where required
  • Support within Sodexo project work where activities do not align to specific services i.e. Sodexo IS&T
  • Accountable for all project deliverables including seeking change control approval where amendments are required within the project plan and project budget.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Experience in solutions design through consolidation of data analysis, market research, customer expectations etc
  • Experience of translating/developing FM solutions into deliverable solutions 
  • Proven track record with substantial experience of Programme management on major programmes with good knowledge of project management disciplines
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes, including risk management, budgets and resource allocation procedures;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office including MS Project  
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders;
  • Credibility within the programme environment and ability to influence others;
  • Ability to find innovative ways of solving and pre-empting problems;
  • Necessary seniority and gravitas required to be able to take on the responsibility required of the role;
  • Understanding of the wider implications of the programme;

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Integrated Facilities Management and Pharma
  •  Corporate Pharma background
