Facilities Manager - IFM

Job Introduction

Are you an experienced IFM manager? Have you managed P&L accounts in excess of £2m? We have a great opening for a highly experienced Facilities Manager to join our team on a pharmaceutical site in High Wycombe.

You would look after a delivery of wide range of soft and hard services on site and a team of 75 with 8 direct reports. With post-lockdown return to workplaces and introduction of 3 new services, you would need to have very good change management and leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management abilities and a flair for innovation. Good understanding and previous experience in delivering security services would be highly beneficial.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible for operational problem resolution and issue escalation. Deputizing in Multi-Site Facilities Managers absence.
  • Measure service standards against agreed and obligated levels.
  • Implementation of new innovations as required.
  • Be an informed and authoritative point of contact for the key stakeholders at site to address any performance or operational issues.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for business growth.
  • Ensure forecasts are completed and track performance against budget taking appropriate actions to manage P&L in line with contract.
  • Manage the P&L to maximize profit and control of costs to ensure budgets are met.
  • Drive consistency across site and share best practice with others within UK J&J portfolio.
  • Full understanding of contractual MSA, LSA, guiding principles applicable to site under new Vested agreement and delivery of content to site.
  • Manage all space within the building liaising with all key stakeholders.
  • Lead and represent the southern cluster for Corporate engagement, acting as a single point liaison for all initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Proven experience in managing medium to large sites, multi-disciplined across building diverse teams
  • Proven experience in management of P&L accounts in excess of £2m
  • Experience of Soft FM Services (Catering, Grounds & Cleaning)
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills
  • Development of commercially viable solutions based on rigorous techniques to understand client and contractual needs
  • Manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities
  • Ability to interpret and utilise complex and varied financial and commercial information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and employees at all levels
  • Achieve set, standards and operate to performance criteria; for example, health and safety, hygiene
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment
  • Proven track record of initiating & leading demanding business change programmes
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, influencing and facilitating skills
  • Challenges the status Quo, innovative, willingness with a ‘can do & improve’ attitude

Desirable

  • Facilities, Engineering, Technical or business qualification
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical industry for large Blue Chip company
  • Experience of Hard FM Services
