Event Support Operative

Job Introduction

We are looking for an Event Support Operative who will be Sodexo's daily point of contact at the venue and will be responsible for delivering the operational aspect of the event experience in accordance with set performance standards.

Role Responsibility

In accordance with the planning schedules provided by the Events Manager and the Events Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering the event experience throughout the Dublin venues while working as a member of the Facilities team. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and attention to detail while delivering daily operational excellence for events based on the planning schedules. Working successfully across many teams, such as catering and AV, as well as being able to read event plans and maps, follow directions, and comprehend the importance of health and safety in connection to your function and department, are essential for success in this setting

You will be responsible for the upkeep, cleanliness, and organisation of stores on the ground floor to an acceptable standard, as well as ensuring storage safety. Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, is checked on a regular basis, and is reported for servicing. At all times, observe, enforce, and comply with all Sodexo and client site rules, company policies, and procedures. Ensure that all assets used in conjunction with the service contract are strictly supervised and cared for. Report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, or other irregularities immediately and take appropriate action.

The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience working in an events or hospitality environment

• Good understanding of what it takes to deliver operational excellence in events
• General understanding of Front of House operations and Hospitality & Catering event operations
• General understanding of Audio Visual in events
• Excellent communication skills with a very good understanding of written and verbal English is essential
• Basic computer skills
