Enhanced Supervision Security Supervisor

We currently have a opportunity for a Enhanced Supervision Security Supervisor to join our Sodexo Healthcare team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Role Responsibility

  • Maintain a safe environment for patients on a one to one basis.
  • The Security Supervisor must ensure all Enhanced Supervision Officers, including any agency officers used, are fully SIA licensed and their details verified and to ensure all have completed the relevant Physical Intervention Training and/or the Enhanced Supervision training with the Trust.
  • To ensure that the security supervision protocol is adhered to and all relevant documentation is completed accurately and thoroughly, ensuring KPIs are met in accordance with the Service Level Agreement.
  • The Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring Security Supervision Officers are aware of their roles and responsibility whilst on shift and that appropriate breaks are arranged at the beginning of each shift.
  • To ensure that all Security Supervision Security Officers are compliant and up to date with all relevant SIA and/or Trust training.
  • To liaise with the Ward Manager / Nurse in Charge, upon receipt of a Security Supervision Request Form for joint risk assessment and to assess the level of supervision required for the patient as per protocol.
  • The challenging of the joint risk assessment process should the assessment deem the level of supervision by a Security Supervision Officer is not warranted / no longer required the Security Supervisor must inform Trust Management of the situation immediately so appropriate discussions can be facilitated with the Quality and Compliance Lead for the relevant hospital site if overruled.
  • Continued liaison with ward / departmental management.
  • Recording details relevant to the patients risk of harm or potential harm to others / maintaining accurate records.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Excellent awareness skills.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Excellent Computer Skills.
  • Experience in working in a similar role.
  • A SIA Licence holder Manned Guarding Licence / DS / Close Protection,
  • Knowledge of security techniques.
  • Must be punctual and have the ability to think on their feet.
  • Reliable with excellent time-management skills
