Engineering Manager
Job Introduction
Sodexo's Energy & Resources Segment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering professional to join the prestigious blue chip account we have with Chevron.
In the Technical Manager role you will work across the companies two office buildings in central London which are easy to travel to along the Jubilee Line - even in rushhour!
You will be a seasoned Engineer with an understanding of the running and maintenance of a building ideally specialising in HVAC and Electrical Maintenance.
You will be a strong leader able to guide and nurture the two technicians who report in to you but also able to manage and supervise and contractors we hire on site.
Role Responsibility
- To supervise a team of skilled employees and sub-contractors to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of statutory PPM and reactive maintenance across the Chevron Office Buildings in London.
- Ensure that safety is a key priority and that safety performance is under target
- Ensure that maintenance tasks and inspections are executed as per contract requirements
- Scope all jobs and produce work packs including JSA/WAPS & Safe working procedures
- Undertake 1st line personnel management
- Undertake site inspections and audits of tools and equipment
- Utilise company IT systems including Synergy (CAFM) system
- Carry out planned maintenance routines on M&E equipment

The Ideal Candidate
- Training and experience in one or more given trades such as heating/air conditioning, plumbing/boiler repair, electrical.
- Possess the leadership skills necessary to direct the work of the maintenance team
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programmes
- Working knowledge of blueprints and electrical, HVAC, plumbing
- Working knowledge of operation of heavy equipment
- Skill in reading, interpreting and applying information in technical manuals and other documents
