Job Introduction

A great opportunity has become available on our prestigious client’s office site in High Wycombe for an experienced electrician to join our team. You should have relevant qualifications, 18th edition, experience in electrical maintenance and preferably experience in testing & inspection.

It is a Monday to Friday role however you will join an on-call rota. We offer a salary of £32,000 to £34,000 with Sodexo employee benefits, great team and excellent development and progression opportunities.

 

Role Responsibility

  • To follow and embrace the Sodexo Health and Safety culture and follow all processes and procedures.
  • To take a proactive attitude in identification and resolution of defects.
  • To undertake low risk, non-specialist electrical work such as but not limited to light changing, PA testing, emergency lighting, electrical checks, pump / HVAC inspections.
  • To undertake all necessary repairs and PPM tasks of a statutory and non-statutory nature relating to General Building elements and advise your line Manager on remedial action required.
  • Assist other team members with any maintenance or installation tasks.
  • To have a detailed understanding of other building construction trades.
  • Required to work on new installations and undertake training on new techniques and legislation as required and pass on knowledge to others.
  • May be required to use access equipment for working at heights.
  • May be required to work alone and to follow lone working procedures.
  • Undertake all additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by your line manager and may be required to work on other Sodexo contracts as directed.
  • Required to participate in an on-call duty roster (may also include other sites)
  • Required to carry out basic skills port modules and other ongoing training in agreement with your line manager.
  • Be prepared to work overtime when it is deemed necessary by your line manager.
  • Completion of all necessary paperwork to support tasks and provide an audit trail of contractual and legislative compliance.
  • Work monitoring and control.
  • Ensure 100% of contractors have a relevant RA and MS in place before commencing any work.
  • Assist in maintaining contractor, O&M and service records.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Relevant electrical or building maintenance qualification and/or appropriate experience.
  • Basic competence in Electrical systems.
  • 18th edition
  • Able to establish necessary parts/plant/materials necessary for completion of tasks.
  • Flexible attitude to work individually and working as part of a team.
  • Reliable.
  • IOSH managing safely or equivalent (or willingness to undertake and complete successfully within 3 months from commencement of employment.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.

Desirable

  • Additional qualifications and experience in other building related trades would be advantageous.
  • Testing & Inspection
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • CSCS Certificate.
  • Legionella awareness training.
  • Forklift licence.
