Effluent Operator

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Effluent Operator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Sampling, recording and analysis of effluent water discharge in order to maintain a compliant system
  • Operation of the treatment system to ensure required daily throughput is achieved to support manufacturing business
  • Performing analysis and maintenance and reporting any deviations
  • Ensuring the incoming effluent waste is stored within the appropriate storage vessels
  • Draw effluent from bulk storage through flocculation tanks and into the separator tanks
  • Check effluent conditions adding caustics/coagulants/polymers as required
  • Monitor operation of separator tank and inbuilt skimming mechanism to ensure optimum performance
  • Facilitate disposal of soap waste into storage containers and manage storage of full and supply of empty containers as appropriate
  • Operating hydraulic press and stand on truck

Package Description

Working hours, patterns and environment

  • 40 hours a week which will include shift work and weekends. There will be a certain amount of overtime as required by operations
  • Work will be spent between the control room or in the Effluent treatment area
  • The job can be physically demanding and you may have to work at height or in tight spaces
