Job Introduction

Wellington College is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school with over 1000 students age 13 - 18

This is a Term Time only role working as part of a small team in a Boarding House preparing and serving high quality food for up to 120 students.

Enthusiastic and motivated we are looking for someone who will continually enhance the Houses offer and exceed expectations for our students



Role Responsibility

As a Cook you will be responsible for:


  • Ensure food production and standards are carried out in a timely fashion across all services
  • Responsible for ensuring stocks are maintained and orders given to main stores for preparation
  • Liaison with Drivers to ensure House deliveries arrive within agreed timelines
  • Ensure that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy and report any hazards to the Exec Chef
  • Adhere to all Food, Health and Safety, Allergens Policies and maintain all relevant records

The Ideal Candidate

As a Cook you will be responsible for:


  • Self motivated and able to work without direction to be able to deliver high quality food to Boarding House students within agreed time lines
  • Customer focussed and approachable at all times
  • Good communication skills
  • Displays a smart professional appearance

Package Description

As a Term Time only Cook you will be responsible for the preparation and service of student meals as per agreed times within one of our Boarding Houses.

Supported by the main kitchen you will be self motivated, organised and above all enthusiastic in delivering high quality food and bringing new ideas to our Houses service.

Meals on duty, uniform provided along with opportunities to develop further for the right candidate.
