Chef Manager

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Chef Manager to lead one of our new business in a multinational insurance company at Londonderry. In this position you will be responsible for providing catering services, managing the team, maintaining stock control, planning menus, controlling and monitoring the financial performance and targets.

To be successful in this role, you must have a real passion for food, be able to work with raw ingredients to deliver sustainable, high quality and healthy meals. You will also be creative and innovative with menus and love interacting with your clients whilst delivering a great level of service and operational standards.

The catering services will range from hot and chilled breakfast offer, hot lunch, deli bar, grab n go and barista coffee bar.

This is a new role that will grow and develop into a business manager or a head chef position as the business expands and therefore would suit a person who is ambitious with high drive.

 

Role Responsibility

  • To oversee delivery and develop the food offer in all areas of the business through commercial initiatives, innovation and team development. 
  • To deliver through the team new menus which demonstrate flair and innovation in the food service offer.
  • To ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service in all food areas to the company’s standard and to the client’s satisfaction. 
  • To ensure that the budget is met and exceeded and that all company audits & documentation are attained to the required standard.
  • Promote healthy eating, wellbeing and employee satisfaction.
  • To deliver and achieve client KPI measurement and quarterly self audits with review and action the results.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of developing an innovative food offer to meet client and customer needs
  • CIEH Level 3 Food Safety qualification/706 Level 1 and 2 min
  • IOSH Managing Safety qualification
  • knowledge of external catering developments & innovations
  • Strong financial understanding and demonstrable budgeting management
  • Demonstrative customer focus and service skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate to performance criteria, with particular regard to hygiene
  • Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be an effective team player.

Package Description

Working pattern - Monday to Friday, 39hours per week - You will have the support of other managers while on duty.

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum
