Chef - Healthcare

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Chef to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  1. To prepare, cook and present food for patients and staff breakfast, lunch and dinner following the agreed recipes and standards set by Sodexo and Client
  2.  To follow all company and legal food hygiene regulations.
  3. To follow and comply with all health and safety regulations set by the company and legally required.
  4. To work in clean, tidy and efficient manner.
  5. Ensure that restaurant is clean and tidy at all times
  6. Provide helpful and friendly and welcoming service and environment in staff restaurant at all times.
  7. To ensure all food goes out to patients at the agreed times.
  8. To accurately record all food wastage and report to manager
  9. Make sure that requests by patients or staff with special dietary requirements are provided for.
  10. Check dates on food and dispose off any out off date food.
  11. Fill in all cleaning and temperature records as required.
  12. Ad-hoc duties as and when required

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  1. Qualified chef
  2. Ability to understand detailed instructions
  3. Ability to understand and adhere to current legislation at all times
  4. Ability to allocate resources effectively
  5. Good literacy and numeracy skills
  6. Ability to motivate team as required
  7. Good communication skills
  8. To work well with in team

Desirable

  1.  Food hygiene certificate level 2 or above
  2.  Ability to demonstrate flair within food offer

The duties of this post are not exhaustive and may be reviewed and amended as necessary in accordance with a changing environment

 

Working Hours

  • Shifts between 7am & 7pm including weekends
  • No split shifts
  • Opportunity for development
  • Enhanced rates for working weekends
