Catering Manager

Job Introduction

We have a great opportunity for a Catering Manager to work in a Prison Service College that provides staff training for the national Offender Management Service.

In this role, you will provide clear direction to your team and you’ll work closely with the client as a Catering Manager, nurturing strong stakeholder relationships and providing an exceptional service to our customers.

To be successful in this role you will need experience working in a busy environment, be able to add value, bring innovation and new ideas.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver the agreed SLA - Manage the catering function and services to the agreed standards, ensuring that deadlines and targets are achieved
  • Maximise the profitability of the catering service and meet targets as set by the GSM, whilst managing costs effectively
  • Manage the Catering Team - Lead, develop, manage and motivate a high performing team to the agreed standards ensuring that the client receives services of the highest quality
  • Ensure that statutory requirements and company policies and procedures are followed
  • Maximize sales within Restaurant, vending and hospitality

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office
  • 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification, or equivalent
  • Previous experience of catering management in a similar environment
  • People management experience
  • Ability to interpret and utilise financial and commercial information

Desirable

  • IOSH Managing safely qualification
  • E-ProphIT, RoL Trained
  • Experience of managing conflicting expectations of the client and consumer within one business area

Package Description

£25,900 - £28,700 + benefits

Free Car parking is available on-site.

Working 6-7hrs Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Friday.

No weekend work or split shift but overtime will be available to work at other sites.
