Business Director
Job Introduction
We are on the lookout for a highly experienced, technically minded Business Director for one of our unique, idyllic rural hospitals. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of their complex site. Emphasis on full life cycle project management across Hard & Soft Services. You’ll be motivating and managing a long standing, varied team.

Role Responsibility
- Actively manage the Total Facilities Management Team (Hard & Soft FM services) – x300 employees
- Ensure that Hospital facilities services continuously and effectively support their clinical needs, to the agreed specified Service Level Agreement
- Allocation of operational budgets
- Continuous risk assessments
- Staff recruitment, training and head count accountability
- Understand building energy management system and energy conservation policies
- Manage performance measurements
- Represent the Trust at various meetings and give clear direction
- High levels of internal and external stakeholder management
- Implement and monitor various software systems
- Understand the Trust’s needs and that of the service providers as they link to the PFI contract & its provisions
- Health and Safety legislation and site-specific health, safety and welfare policies
- Use of IT systems to provide/monitor data within the Quality Assurance and other management reporting systems
The Ideal Candidate
- Clear & effective communication is key for this role
- Technically minded – across both Hard & Soft services
- Experienced with managing multiple services across a highly regulated, complex environments – preferably in the NHS
- Hands on, motivational leader that can drive performance
- Able to work under pressure and navigate urgent technical projects
- Financially and commercially astute
Package Description
£70,000 - £75,000 per annum plus excellent benefits available
