Business Centre Receptionist/Host

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Business Centre Receptionist/Host to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Complete all mandatory training as directed by the Head Receptionist.
  • Comply with all Company and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include awareness of any specific hazards in the work place.
  • Ensure that the Company's standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained in all FOH areas, toinclude reception desk, back of house office, guest seating areas, switchboard.
  • Participate in any necessary training and team meetings to complete job responsibilities to the Company and Client’s standards.
  • Mop up spillages and sweep up debris as required throughout the day, ensuring a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • To provide exceptional levels of customer care through proactively welcoming and engaging the Client, customers and team members.
  • As instructed by the Head Receptionist, support with cleaning and service as required.
  • Work as a team to promote harmonious working relationships within the Sodexo team.
  • Assist at any special ad-hoc functions, some of which may occur outside working hours.
  • Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate.
  • Ensure that the onsite maintenance procedures are adhered to and report immediately and cease to use any faulty equipment.
  • Wear correct uniform at all times, including the use of PPE if instructed by the Head Receptionist.
  • Champion the Sodexo H&S culture through the report all near misses to the Head Receptionist.
  • Work and support in all business areas on site.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management
 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role within the service industry at a comparable level        
  • Good interpersonal skills, must be able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication with customers, clients and team members
  • Good knowledge of health & safety
  • Able to work on own initiative and within a team environment
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
  • Analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions
  • Positive approach to learning and identify own training needs as appropriate
  • Flexible approach to role
  • Understand Service Excellence and deliver Service excellence at all time

Desirable

  • Industry recognised H&S Qualifications
  • Basic IT skills (Word & Excel)
  • Switchboard experience
