Building Fabric Maintenance Technician

Job Introduction

Due to a new contract mobilisation are looking for an experienced and time-served Building Fabric Maintenance Technician to join our technical team on a manufacturing site in Wisbech. You should be a good all-rounder handyman with skills in painting and decorating, plastering and some carpentry.

As the site operates 24/7, this role will require some flexibility with occasional weekend work to complete maintenance or project works. The role will be contracted to a 40-hour week, offering salary of £25-28k dependant on experience and the usual Sodexo employee benefits.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Complete regular building standard checks and inspections
  • Undertake reactive maintenance and planned duties as required within set service level agreement whilst ensuring that health & safety obligations are met
  • To undertake reactive tasks for our client, ensuring that work standards are high, and tasks are completed on time
  • Complete repairs of a variety of subjects including the following - painting, decoration, general fabric repairs to desks, chairs and doors, etc.
  • Complete small works installations if required

The Ideal Candidate

  • NVQ level 3 in a building services related discipline or completed 5 years in the building industry
  • Experience of working in the Food maintenance sector
  • Effective problem solving & organisational skills
