Assistant Yield Manager

Role Responsibility

  • Support the Yield Manager to drive occupancy through management of the business mix and maximizing spend per head
  • Day to day supervision of the reservations team and providing support and coaching to the team and working with the team to maximise upselling opportunities.
  • Become a ‘super user’ of Optimo, ensuring the proper management of the system and contribute towards the development and maintenance of new Revenue Management systems and processes.
  • Ensure the reservations team maintain standards and quality across all areas of the business functions and they are provided with accurate and up to date product information
  • Providing reporting on all cruise availability to key stakeholders within the business
  • Support Yield Manager in updating daily trading reports and weekly dashboards
  • Process cruise reservations received by phone into the Optimo booking system in line with the KPI framework when required and instructed by the team supervisor or manager
  • Provide customers with accurate product information
  • Process payments in line with company procedures
  • Undertake front line Reception duties where required
  • Check the the OTA extranets on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy of cruise availability, product descriptions and imagery.
  • Assist with training of departmental staff
  • Support FAM trips and exhibitions as required

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Essential
  • At least 2 years experience within the tourism and hospitality industry
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Computer literate – especially in Microsoft Office
  • Effective telephone manner
  • High standard of personal presentation

     

  • Desirable
  •  4 - 5 star hotel reservation or reception experience
  • Previous work experience within service led industry

Package Description

  • To support the Yield Manager in planning, organizing, optimizing and directing all revenue management in B2C and B2B2C market segments for the Bateaux business

     

  • To assist in the effective operation of the Reservations team through the provision of team supervision and service delivery
