Role Responsibility

As an Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support as and when required
  • Photocopying, managing incoming / outgoing post, preparing letters, filing etc
  • Assisting other team members in day to day tasks to ensure the smooth running of the operation
  • Answering telephone calls and recording and relay messages efficiently
  • The logging of information onto spreadsheets and producing of reports
  • Arranging meetings, including booking rooms and refreshments and arranging travel when required
  • Processing and preparing invoices for the business

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous administration experience in a busy environment
  • The ability to produce excel spreadsheets & power point presentations
  • IT literate
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • A flexible “can do” attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment

Package Description

Finance Assistant

 

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team at Sodexo Sports and Leisure based at Knebworth House and Barns.  Supporting Sodexo colleagues on finance processes and procedures, you will ensure compliance across the venue whilst providing first class information to the leadership team and clients. As the principal financial support to the contract Regional Finance Manager for the contract you will gain a detailed understanding of performance and produce relevant reports.

 

 

 

  • To provide effective financial administrative support to the contract management team
  • Ensure weekly trading & Payroll is complete on time and in full
  • Complete weekly sales & banking reconciliation
  • Provide reporting to the client in accordance with the contractual requirements.
  • Support the management review and control process
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the senior operations team - ensure awareness exists around Purchase Order or trading issues, seasonal trading patterns (Christmas or Summer holiday season). 
  • Processing weekly and month end accounting records and documents: purchase and sales ledger, payroll costs, cash & banking reconciliation.
  • Invoicing 3rd party clients, deposit reconciliation and sales reporting
  • Compiling data and preparing a variety of reports at month end – participating in the monthly account review meeting and reviewing site performance.
  • Assisting with analysing performance trends to provide insight for the business.
  • Delivering accurate and reliable monthly financial results in a timely manner.

 

 

Proficient in Microsoft packages particularly Excel

Experience in reporting & analysis

Attention to detail & accuracy

Ability to work on own initiative & to be proactive

Aptitude for numerical work & analysis

Previous experience in a finance role

Resilient, determined and able to work flexibly and proactively

Positive, professional and articulate

Relationship building with colleagues from site level to Account Leads and with finance teams
