Account Support Manager
Job Introduction
Are you a proactive Soft FM services professional with a strong catering bias with bags of initiative, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and unparalleled attention to detail?
We are looking for an Account Support Manager to join us in the Independents by Sodexo business covering the Midlands and the North West of England. You would have a solid track record in Catering and Soft FM delivery, flexible approach to work with the ability to travel to sites in your area and occasionally to Scotland.
This role is subject to Safer Recruitment checks and the successful applicant will be required to complete a DBS.

Role Responsibility
- To support the Account Director and Business Managers to manage and control the service offers for the client to the agreed specification and to the agreed performance levels, qualitative and financial targets, with dotted line responsibility to manage and control the catering services and support services.
- To be responsible and take ownership for certain operating areas by supporting and leading the managers to ensure they deliver against Account Development Plans.
- To be accountable and responsible for monthly Client Billing and ensure all client back up is completed as per the client requirement.
- Act as a representative of Sodexo within the defined operating area by the effective management of all Managers to ensure the delivery of both qualitative and quantitative results.
- Foster long term profitable relationships with Clients to maintain existing business and identify new business opportunities by delivering operational excellence.
- Provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values.
- To support the Account Director with Termly reports and other reports as required by the clients.
- Support with motivating and leading a high performing team to achieve their objectives and the Strategic Business Plan.
- Support with new contract mobilisation and special projects – please note that this role will include travel and overnight stays.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience of developing profitable relationships and business acumen
- Broad catering/hospitality experience and knowledge of external industry developments
- Experienced in leading company initiatives and change management processes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
- Computer literate in MS packages
- Background in Independent schools - desirable
- Mobilisation planning and delivery experience - desirable
- Soft FM experience in housekeeping and laundry - desirable
- Craft background and ability to manage a brigade - desirable
