Account Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting an Account Manager at the York St John University. At this university campus, located at York, you’ll develop and effectively manage the site service delivery management teams across all Sodexo operated sites within the contract. Currently this includes 3 retail coffee outlets, Main dining room servery, Pizza outlet, hospitality events and daily service.

With self-motivation, ambition and strong people and leadership skills, you will ensure outstanding service delivery that exceeds our client and customer expectations

Role Responsibility

  • To be responsible for an operating area and leading a management team to ensure delivery against Key Performance Indicators
  • Act as the primary representative of Sodexo within the defined operating area by the effective management of the management team to ensure the delivery of both qualitative and quantitative results.
  • Foster long term profitable relationships with clients to maintain existing business and identify new business opportunities by delivering operational excellence
  • Provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies and the overall SDX WPS Account Strategy in order to uphold the Company mission and values
  • Motivate and lead team to enable achievement of ‘Go For Growth’ strategy
  • Work with other Client Relationship Managers to develop best practice and best value solutions in conjunction with the overall Sodexo strategy.
 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Leadership of diverse and multiple teams
  • Management of large and diverse site service delivery teams
  • Good all round communication skills
  • Relationship builder and experience in working in a matrix deliver environment
  • IT literate and financially astute with a proven track record
  • Operating at management level in an M&E environment
  • Broad knowledge of multiple service lines and their benefit to an organisation
  • Knowledgeable of risk and legislation across all service lines, does not need ot be the expert however needs ot be able to mitigate these with the help of Sodexo experts and Governance Policies

Desirable

  • Proven experience of developing profitable relationships
  • NEBOSH general certificate
  • Broad commercial experience and business acumen and knowledge of external industry developments & contract development models
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent client relationship management
  • Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
  • Corporate member of relevant professional institution
