AV Technician
Job Introduction
To manage the day to day Audio Visual operation, ensuring the smooth running of meetings, conferences, and special events while providing first line support to the customer.
Supporting customers on a daily basis with meeting room requests and equipment.
Problem solving, thinking on your feet for customers when AV equipment is not working, supporting customers in the setup of a meeting.
Carrying out daily checks on meeting rooms, replenishing stock and consumables.
Role Responsibility
Context:
- Ensure all GSK and Sodexo Safety, Environment Management Systems are adhered to
- Drive service delivery and continuous process improvement
Assignments:
- Management of all meeting rooms, VTC rooms and events bookings (from an AV perspective)
- Completing daily, weekly, monthly and annual checks within meetings rooms and equipment
- Project management of complex audio visual meetings
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of data
- Responsible for ensuring that the equipment is safe for use and that the quality of work carried out is of the highest quality
- Ensure stock and assets are properly controlled
- Respond to requests for support within meeting rooms
- Track all VOC and report back accordingly
- Completing all relevant documentation relating to the role
The Ideal Candidate
Excellent knowledge of Audio Visual equipment, computer skills, great customer service skills, ability to problem solve and manage demanding situations in a calm manner:
- Experience within a similar role
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT proficient
- Demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety
- Team worker with a flexible approach
- Ability to use own initiative
- Strong customer facing skills and an ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Highly customer focussed and a proactive problem solver / innovative thinker
