Cleaning Supervisor

- Pay: £13.45 to £13.90 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 3.00pm – 10.30pm
About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to maintain a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment at George Watsons College. You’ll lead by example, support your team, and ensure cleaning standards are consistently met, including dynamic and reactive cleaning tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily cleaning operations, floor care, and reactive tasks
- Supervise and support your cleaning team, managing schedules, rotas, and training
- Conduct audits, monthly performance checks, and safety walks
- Manage cleaning materials and chemicals safely in line with COSHH
- Ensure all cleaning standards meet Sodexo and client expectations
- Monitor performance, manage resources, and report incidents
- Occasionally provide cover or work overtime as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably with supervisory experience
- Hands-on, proactive approach with strong communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning standards, methods, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations
- Professional presentation and high personal hygiene standards
