About the Role

Sodexo is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at the Johnson Matthey site in Royston. Working within a busy industrial and scientific environment, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across offices, laboratories, welfare facilities, toilets, showers, and communal areas. Your contribution will help ensure a safe, professional, and welcoming workplace for employees, visitors, and contractors while supporting the site's commitment to health, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality cleaning across offices, laboratories, welfare facilities and communal areas
  • Maintain excellent hygiene, safety and housekeeping standards
  • Follow Health & Safety, COSHH and site-specific procedures at all times
  • Ensure cleaning equipment, supplies and storage areas are well maintained and fully stocked
  • Provide professional customer service and support team cover when required
  • Wear appropriate PPE, complete required records and participate in training and development activities

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous cleaning experience with a strong understanding of hygiene standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a positive attitude
  • A safe and professional approach to work, following Health & Safety procedures
