Zonal Operations Manager (Domestic Services)

Job Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your management career within Sodexo.  We are looking to recruit an experienced domestic soft services site manager to head up operational delivery within part of the Central Manchester Hospital contract.

Role Responsibility

  • Oversee delivery of domestic services, including patient catering and domestic services on site
  • To work collectively with other site Operations Managers and the Finance team to ensure delivery of budgeted profit and turnover for services and accounts
  • Contract compliance and being accountable for delivering services to the contract and service specification in an efficient manner
  • Daily management of a team of Sodexo employees
  • Ensure achievement of high levels of client and service user satisfaction, and monitor these on regular basis
  • Responsible for ensuring that effective and consistent management is applied by your management and supervisory team to all staff within area of responsibility.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions as part of the senior site management team sharing ideas and best practice to improve site performance
  • Implementing new policies and procedures which have been discussed and agreed with colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong operational background in the support services and facilities management market
  • A working knowledge of Agenda for Change would be preferred
  • Proven experience of delivering operational excellence within a hospital/NHS environment
  • Knowledge of PFI activity/contracts is preferred
  • Experience of delivering to budgets, in particular proven Profit and Loss knowledge
  • An experienced leader and developer of teams, who is effective in directing others
  • Results focused; gets on with the job and likes to work to demanding goals and targets.
  • Excellent client relationship skills, with experience of successfully managing SLA’s or similar.
  • A confident and adept communicator, with the ability to operate effectively at all levels.
