Treatment Manager - advertised on behalf of South Yorkshire CRC

Job Introduction

South Yorkshire CRC are currently recruiting for a Treatment Manager's based in Sheffield. 

You will be required to ensure that programme participants are correctly assessed and referred, and that programmes are personalised to the needs of individuals within the manualised format.

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure and maintain treatment integrity; i.e., to ensure that the programme is delivered as required by the Programme Manuals.
  • Ensure that programme participants are correctly assessed and referred, and that programmes are personalised to the needs of individuals within the manualised format.
  • Ensure that the integrity of the programme is maintained and monitored and systems are in place to do this as prescribed in the relevant Management Manual, and that the programme is delivered in a way that is responsive to the needs of participants. In particular, Treatment Managers should take steps to address the individual needs of high-risk offenders thus maximising the likelihood that those participants will complete the programme.
  • Conduct Video Monitoring and/or live observations of session delivery as prescribed.  
  • Provide feedback on practice to facilitators.
  • Assist facilitators prepare for delivery of the programme and reflect on their delivery of the programme.
  • Model good practice to facilitators.
  • Troubleshoot with facilitators when clinical problems or challenges arise.
  • Ensure the quality of and countersigning the Post Programme Report (PPR).
  • Ensure that changes to programmes directed by Interventions Services are implemented in a prompt and timely fashion.  
  • Develop and maintain their skills as facilitators.
  • Deliver each element of the programme at least twice to an excellent standard of skill within one year of the first programme commencing. Existing Treatment Managers are also required to maintain their skills by delivering no fewer than six of the sessions of each of the accredited violence programmes for which they have responsibility in any twelve month period.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will need to be a qualified Probation Officer
  • Successfully completed the Core Skills and Programme Specific training required to deliver the programme that they intend to treatment manage.( SYCRC currently Building Better Relationships and hopefully Thinking Skills Programme)
  • Successfully completed the OSIG Interventions Services Treatment Management training

Delivery experience

  • As an existing facilitator, you are required to have delivered each mandatory element of the programme at least twice to an excellent standard of skill (e.g., above 3.2 average on video monitoring) to be eligible for the Treatment Manager role.
  • Personal resilience.
  • Proven ability to promote the support and development of team members.
  • It is also recommended that Treatment Managers attend, and where relevant pass, “Supervision Skills for Treatment Managers” training. 

Package Description

Starting salary Band 4, £29,038 per annum

37 hours per week, 27 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, defined contribution pension scheme, company sick pay, group discount scheme.
