Technical Support Engineer

Role Responsibility

Job Purpose

  • The role of the Technical Support Engineer is to provide technical support to the Pharmaceutical environments across site. This will be achieved through the application of technical aptitude, engineering tools, systematic processes and maintenance best practice.
  • To lead and manage Engineering and GMO related activities.
  • Assist with Site Asset Management Strategy and delivery of Asset Life Cycle activities
  • propose and engage in Engineering solutions and implement them in accordance with Change Management process.
  • Assist with SHE and GMP compliance for all relevant statutory obligations.
  • Assist in managing Engineering compliance.
  • Management of Change Control.
  • Project Management

Accountabilities

  • Lead and contribute to site energy saving initiatives.
  • Exchange of complex information, guide and advise other who may not be familiar with technical issues.
  • Proactively respond to business requirements.
  • Engage with team and client to build effective relationships.
  • Understanding risks and delivering improvements.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Building Services Engineering qualification.
  • Previous experience in Building Services.
  • Previous experience of working in a pharmaceutical environment or similar.
  • Team working and customer focus.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to Engineering solutions.
  • Knowledge of Engineering compliance and statutory regulations.

Desirable

  • To have developed from a technician/HNC background supported by substantial experience of similar roles and/or a member of professional FM and/or engineering organisations e.g. BIFM, IMechE, etc.
  • The role holder will have a strong technical background, with knowledge of the engineering principles and practices utilised across the lifecycle of asset and facilities design and utility operations.
