Engineering Supervisor

Job Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity to further your Engineering management career. Based at one of our corporate sites in Grays, Sodexo requires an experienced Technicial Supervisor to oversee the day to day running of the site.

Role Responsibility

  • The day to day management of technical team
  • Provide the General Services Manager technical advice and support for the maintenance of plant, equipment and fabric as detailed with the contract
  • Provide the customer with quotes for works and materials outside of scope.
  • Indentify opportunities for contract growth
  • Ensuring services comply in accordance with legislative, statutory and contractual service sheets
  • Contributing to the commercial management of the operational element of the contract, including management of the Performance Monitoring systems and to ensure Contract and Commercial Compliance

The Ideal Candidate

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations
  • Wide ranging Building services engineering experience at a supervisory level
  • Experienced in Water Quality Maintenance
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety at Work regulations
  • Must be computer literate preferably with knowledge of building management systems
  • Able to demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving using a logical approach
  • Reporting writing skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced in communication Technical information to a non Technical audience
  • Understanding of COSSH
  • Understanding of Working at Height Regulations

Desirable

  •  IOSH Supervising safety
  •  Supervisory Certificate
  • Electrical LV AP
  • IPAF
  • PASMA
  • Recognised apprenticeship, time served
  • NVQ level 2 in Mechanical or Water Management subject
