System Support Technician

Job Introduction

Sodexo are currently recruiting for a System Support Technician to work in our Prestige Sports Leisure & Travel segment based in central London. You will provide support to the Systems & Implementation Manager and operational  management in  the implementation of systems, initially focussed upon Optimo, Prestige’s strategic business solution for capturing, managing and billing across all applicable sites. . Role Responsibility

  • Support the business on an ongoing basis with first line issue management and advice
  • Implementation – assist in the roll out the Optimo solution to Prestige sites
  • IS&T liaison – be a point of contact for the IS&T Optimo project manager to ensure good communication with their department at all times
  • Training –. provide training to users of the system, and identify super users
  • Intranet Site – to edit and maintain the Optimo corporate intranet site
  • Optimo Support – to manage the administration of the Optimo inbox
  • Access control – to manage the new user process and its handover to the Systems Access Management Team
  • Develop and maintain key relationships across the sites receiving the tool to ensure their motivation and commitment to change projects do not diminish over time
  • Ensure the principles behind systems change aspect of projects are maintained at all times, acting as a ‘change champion’ for the process.

Essential

  • Planning – Ensures appropriate plans are in place to deliver tasks on time
  • Business awareness – Proactively sees business risks and opportunities and highlights these to allow actions to be taken to improve business performance.
  • Business awareness – An ability to break down business processes to their component parts to consider areas for efficiency.
  • Influencing skills - Aware of and be able to influence positively decision-makers, both within Prestige sites and the wider Sodexo team.
  • Technical – An appropriately professionally and academically qualified individual with an ability to understand financial and technical processes and challenges
  • Continuous Improvement – A track record of seeking to explore external sources of interest, data, and information to prompt innovation within the organisation
  • Coaching - Ability to engage managers and cross functional teams to deliver change
  • Technological Skills – A demonstrable interest in systems and technologies
  • Software Skills – a demonstrable ability to utilise Excel and other software tools as appropriate
  • Attention to Detail – able to carry out tasks following prescribed paths to ensure consistency of delivery of the solution and output of testing activities

Desirable

  • Part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) as a minimum to ensure familiarity with financial construct of the systems being implemented

Other

  • The Optimo solution is not a finance application, it is a business tool that has significant financial components and aligned processes. The individual taking on this role must be able to consider the overall business impact of implementing and operation with this tool.
