Switchboard and Mailroom Operative

Job Introduction

HMP Forest Bank are currently recruiting for a part time Switchboard and Mailroom Operative.

You will ensure the switchboard system is fully operated between the hours of 9.00hrs and 16.15hrs during the working week and to assist the post clerk in sorting and opening the mail.

Sodexo Justice Services delivers custodial and community rehabilitation services that challenge offending behaviour, protect the public and offer individuals the opportunity to change their lives for the better. We deliver the total operation of five prisons within England, Scotland and Wales and own six Community Rehabilitation Companies in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro.

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure all calls are answered in a timely manner
  • All callers are dealt with politely
  • Ensure all faxes are collected
  • All prisoner mail is to be dealt with by the end of the day
  • Security must be upheld at all times
  • Ensure confidentiality procedures are adhered to
  • To Ensure Sodexo Justice services guidelines are adhered to

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Customer service skills

Package Description

Working days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 

22.5 hours per week
