Job Introduction

Role Responsibility
As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the day to day running of the kitchen and deputising in the absence of the Head Chef
- Menu planning
- Ordering food
- Kitchen administration
- Health and Safety compliance
- Delivering team briefings
- Craft training activity
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Relevant NVQ Level 2 & 3 or equivalent
- Proven technical experience in a Sous Chef role
- Possess good knowledge of operational health & safety
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in high volume catering as well as fine dining experience
- Intermediate or Advance Food Hygiene
- Health & Safety qualifications are an advantage
Package Description
A fantastic opportunity has become available as a Sous Chef in the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Heathrow Airport in Terminal 3
Candidates must have prior experience in running the pass in a busy kitchen environment as we are serving up to 600 covers per shift. Candidates must be available to work early and late shifts on a 4 on 2 off pattern
Ideal candidates will have competent and proven experience leading a brigade of chefs to ensure highest standards are achieved and the highest levels of food safety and health and safety are always maintained
Employment will be subject to achieving an airside pass at Heathrow. To get this you would need to provide 5 years employment history and a basic criminal record check along with all proof of right to work in the UK
