Job Introduction
South Yorkshire CRC are currently recruiting for a Senior Responsible Officer.
You will manage the risk posed by offenders to protect the public by:
- Providing information and advice to criminal courts and other Criminal Justice Authorities
- Supervise offenders subject to community sentences and during and after custodial sentences.
- Work with other agencies and groups to prevent crime and meet the needs of victims and perpetrators.

The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Trained as a Probation Officer (or to CQSW/ DIPSW)
- Knowledge of Criminal Justice System and aware of future developments
- Good IT, assessment, evaluation and presentation skills
- Experience of managing a caseload and of running supervisory programmes
- Experience of risk management and working to national standards
- Experience of planning and administration
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Ability to manage and prioritise a high workload
