Senior Project Manager

Job Introduction

Sodexo Corporate Services - Strategic Accounts are recruiting a Senior Project Manager for the UK region of a wider EMEA Account.

As Senior Project Manager, you will operate within a central Project Management Office as part of our Strategic EMEA Account.

You will have no fixed office location and will be required to travel to sites based in the UK and across EMEA.

You will drive Project Management activities through effective leadership, change management, budget control and stakeholder management.

 

 

Role Responsibility

Project Management:

  • Managing individual projects up to a value of $10m, in a Project Management Office capacity
  • Defining and agreeing scope and Budgets with Clients
  • Ensuring all elements of the project lifecycle are delivered to Schedule, Budget & Quality
  • Using recognized Project Management methods and systems to ensure visibility of progress, effective Governance and communication
  • Co-ordinating and influencing multiple suppliers, internal and client stakeholders

Program Management:

  • Providing Governance and communication of multiple projects within the Sub-Region
  • Working with the client to create and extend a 3-5 year schedule of projects
  • Manage variation in project demand, ensuring required Project Management resources are available
  • Being the single point of contact for the client Project Portfolio Managers
  • Providing training & coaching to direct and indirect Project Managers in compliance with contractual requirements

Project Accounting and Change Control:

  • Defining and managing finances on an individual and program level
  • Providing forecasts and defining Budgets
  • Strong control of project milestones using Escalation and Change Control processes to limit project risk

The Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience
  • Holding a recognised Project Management qualification
  • Engineering or Construction qualification or relevant experience
  • Evidence of delivery of Programme and Capital Projects in large corporate environments and working with clients at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – English is the client’s business language
  • Demonstrable experience of forward planning, problem solving, analytical thinking
  • Strong Leadership and influencing capabilities within a matrix organisation
