Job Introduction

Role Responsibility

As a Security Officer you could be responsible for:
• Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems, and act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting
• To log and transfer calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff
• Control of the key press and issuing of keys
• Compile accurate incident reports where appropriate and requested
• To carry out regular patrols throughout the shift
• Ensuring buildings, valuables or people are safe and secure
• Supervising the door for a large organization
• Allocating visitor car parking spaces
• Health and Safety and Evacuation procedures
• Driving vehicles as and when required
• Ad-hoc support for our security operations
 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential
• Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities
• A full current driving licence
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent awareness skills
• Experience in working in a similar role
• A SIA Licence – Manned Guarding Licence, SIA Licence holder – CCTV


Desirable
• Knowledge of security techniques
• Knowledge of site and local emergency procedures

Sodexo are delighted to offer an opportunity to join the Security team here at Nestle Tutbury. This is an exciting full-time and permanent role and the suitable candidate will deputize for the Security Supervisor.

The role is based around a 0700-1600 Monday to Friday shift pattern as a base and whilst also filling holiday or sickness (this may include weekends or nights).

This is no ordinary corporate security officer role, this will require a high-caliber individual with exceptional customer service and communication skills, ensuring a warm and professional welcome to the visitors and contractors that come to what is a very busy site.

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Assist and support training needs to ensure they are identified and appropriate training & development is delivered.
  • Operationally support in delivery of the agreed service levels.
  • To assist with monthly audits on all Security practices and process
  • Support in delivery of SOP’s across the security team
  • Provide Operational support and act as a point of contact out of hours if and when required.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
  • Assist and be a point of contact for Incident Management, ensuring that incidents are correctly managed and escalated as per client specifications.
  • Other day-to-day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and client.
  • Client liaison, work closely with the Soft Services Manager
  • Ensure high standards are maintained at all times with a focus on maximising the output and performance of all team members.
  • Take co-responsibility for the induction and training of new starters, in conjunction with Sodexo Management.
  • Manage the provision of CCTV, access control systems and alarm systems.
  • Complete the required Incident reports in the event of an incident, focussing on quality and timely reporting.
  • Respond well to requests and changes.
  • Experience of working in multi-tasking environment.
  • Promote a secure and safe working environment on site through the implementation and continuous improvement of agreed Health and Safety actions.
  • Assist in leading the security team by fostering team spirit and co-operation, the encouragement of open expression of differing ideas and opinions and ensuring resolution.
  • Ensuring that any complaints are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensuring that all equipment provided to assist security is fully operational with any issues reported.
  • Ensure that there is a robust and effective key control process in place.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • SIA Security Guarding Licence

Experience

  • 3 -5 years Security or Customer Service experience.
